2008 Year of the RAT HALF ounce Series II SILVER Australia Coin BU

This Year of the Mouse (or Year of the Rat) 2008 SILVER coin contains a Half ounce of solid 99.9% Silver in this genuine 50 cent Australia coin.

In 2008 the government of Australia began a new lunar series of Silver coins, called Series II lunar SILVER coins. Each year the Australia Perth mint intends to make a new design, using the Chinese Year of the Animal for that year.

Size is almost the size of a US Half Dollar.

Price is per one coin. Photo may show the front and back. One side features a pair of mice design. The other side shows a portrait of the queen.

The Series 2 lunar coins will take 12 years to complete. Each year the Australian government Perth Mint will issue a new animal on their coins, commemorating the animal for that chinese calendar year.
