The condition of this Five dollar Liberty head gold coin is Extremely Fine (EF).
Note that this genuine gold coin appears to have been cleaned at one time and placed in a jewelry mounting. Minor scratching can be noticed around the edge, particularly on the front near the rim above Liberty's head. - priced accordingly.

This is a genuine five dollar Liberty coronet head US gold coin. Minted at the United States government Mint in Philadelphia over 100 years ago.
Condition of this US $5 gold coin is Extremely Fine.
Note that this five dollar gold coin appears to have been cleaned at one time and placed in a jewelry mounting. If you look closely you can observe minor marks around the edge. It is most noticeable near the rim above Liberty's head - we've priced this one accordingly. Only one coin in stock at this price!
Five gold pieces were nicknamed "Half Eagles" because they contain half the gold of the ten dollar (eagle) gold pieces - 24.18% of an ounce of gold. With the big gold melt downs in the past, there is no telling how few of these remain.
Size is 21.6mm in diameter, which is about the size of a US nickel.
